Two men busted at Bram Fischer Airport with R7 million cash in travel bags

Alert police members and security officers working at the Bram Fischer Airport in Bloemfontein, in the Free State, have arrested two men after they were found with a substantial amount of cash contained in four large travel bags.

"The amount of cash was estimated at nearly at R7 million," police said.

"Information revealed that the two were about to board an afternoon flight to Cape Town.

"During the arrest, the two men failed to account as to where they got the money from and how it was accumulated."

The are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court soon on charges of money laundering.
