Two men busted with drugs worth R36 400 in King Williams Town

Kieskammahoek police on Wednesday arrested two men, aged 29 and 42 years old, for possession of drugs worth R36 400 in King Williams Town.

The arrest came after police spotted a suspicious vehicle with two male occupants parked at a garage in King Williams Town on Wednesday afternoon.

“The police approached the vehicle and a search was conducted, and recovered 23 mandrax tablets and dagga bompies in possession of the passenger,” described police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

She added that police also found 100g Tik to the street value of R35 000 on the driver.

The suspects were immediately arrested and charged for possession of drugs.

All the drugs seized have a street value of R36 400.

The suspects are expected to appear in King Williams Town Magistrate's Court on Friday.
