Uitenhage police appeal for assistance in solving murder

Police in Uitenhage have appealed to the public for assistance with information that can help them solve a murder that happened over the weekend.

"On Sunday, at around 8pm, it is alleged that an unknown man was seen leaving a shack of Brendon Human (21) that is situated in the Mc Carthy informal settlement in Kamesh (Uitenhage)," described police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"Moments later, Human came out of his shack profusely bleeding and was rushed to hospital.

"He was declared dead on his arrival at the local hospital."

Sgt Nkohli said that the deceased sustained several stab wounds in the upper body, and police opened a case of murder.

"Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer, Andrew Hoffman at 041 988 8200 or 071 475 1956."
