Uitenhage - Uitenhage police are appealing for help with information that can assist their investigations following a house robbery in Kamesh.

"On Wednesday, at about 19:00, a complainant alleged that he was watching television with his girlfriend in the lounge of his house in Cacatha Street, Mandelaville in Kamesh (Uitenhage), when he heard a sound of his dogs barking outside," described police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"He said that he opened a kitchen door to investigate, and that was when two men at the doorway, one armed with firearm held him at gunpoint and forced the two occupants into the bedroom.

"The suspects stole cash, a television set and a jacket before fleeing the scene on foot."

The complainant sustained a bump on the forehead, after he was hit with a firearm.
