Uitenhage police appeal for leads after man stabbed to death

Police in Uitenhage are seeking the public's assistance from anyone with information that could assist them in their investigations after a man was brutally stabbed to death in Kamesh.

"The incident occurred on Monday, at about 23:20, it is alleged that three men stabbed the deceased, Mandla Nyengane (35) several times in Daku Street, Langa in Kamesh (Uitenhage) and then ran away," said police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"Nyengane died at the scene, and it is believed that there was a person, who witnessed the incident, but left before the arrival of the police at the scene of crime.

"Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Janneman Smidt at 041 978 8800 or 071 475 2230."
