Some readers may find the images here upsetting. Four men from Motherwell, Port Elizabeth, are in police custody after they were arrested by the Ikamvelihle Vispol members for alleged stock theft on Wednesday afternoon.

"Police recovered stock products in a house at Myathaza street in Motherwell NU1, at about 15:10," described police spokesperson, Constable Mncedi Mbombo.

"Four men were arrested for possession of two livestock carcasses and 16 sheep heads and feet, four cellphones and four knives.

"Their clothes had blood.

"Members also found 13 parcels of frozen meat."

Constable Mbombo said that the female house owner confessed to the police that his brother stole 11 sheep from Jansenville last week.

He said that police are investigating the case.

"DNA comparison will be done and the connection to Jansenville will be established," said Constable Mbombo.

"A vehicle used and other suspects will be also be traced."

Meanwhile, the Uitenhage Stock Theft Unit has appealed to the community to assist with information pertaining to the slaughtering of goats and the buying or selling of these slaughtered animals after another incident of stock theft.
