Vehicle recovered after armed robbery at New Brighton school

Enhanced police visibility during the run up to the festive season paid off after a vehicle was recovered soon after a robbery at a school in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth.
"This followed after two armed males entered the principal's office at Molefe Primary School, New Brighton, on Tuesday morning at 09:30," said police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge.
"The suspects gun pointed the principal and took one cell phone, an undisclosed amount of money and the vehicle of the principal.
"The grey VW Jetta was soon afterwards found abandoned in Mtiya Street, New Brighton at 10:40 by patrolling Flying Squad members."
