Vincent night spot shut down following residents' complaints

East London - Following numerous complaints from the members of the public about a night spot in Vincent, East London, police accompanied officials from the Buffalo City Metro to shut the place down.

East London police alleged that local residents were complaining about loud music, blocked driveways, urinating on the street and an increase in theft out of motor vehicle cases around the vicinity of the club.

"SAPS Cambridge responded to a call from BCMM (buffalo city metropolitan municipality), ward 18 councillor, Mr Jason Mc Dowell, ward 4 councillor Mrs Botha and PR councillor Mrs Pollock to act on these premises," said police spokesperson, Capt 

"A compliance inspection was conducted in these premises by the SAPS, BCMM Law Enforcement, Fire department, Disaster management and Environmental health.

"On completion of the inspection, the business was ordered to stop its operations with immediate effect due to non compliance."
