Water shut down to parts of Nelson Mandela Bay due to repairs

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality providing water tankers to affected areas

Port Elizabeth - The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality on Tuesday advised local residents and businesses that there will be water supply disruptions to parts of the Bay on Thursday.

"Please be advised that the water will be shut down in parts of the City as two Pressure Reducing Valve installations will be taking place this coming Thursday, 11 April from 9 AM," said Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Communications and Media Management Officer, Mthubanzi Mniki.

Mniki said that the following areas will be affected as shown on the this document:

  • Sherwood
  • Glenroy Park
  • Kunene Park
  • Ben Kamma
  • Vikingvale
  • Brymore

He added that municipal water tankers will be available at these locations:

  • Sherwood Spar in Devon Road
  • Walker Drive Shopping Centre
