Westering man disappears en-route to church, police appeal for help

Kabega Park police in Port Elizabeth are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a missing 61-year-old Westering man, who was reported missing since Sunday.

According to police information, Nigel Fitt, left his David Road home in Westering at about 08:45 to attend church, which is not far from his house.

"He left on foot. When he failed to return home later in the day, his concerned family alerted the police," said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

"Enquiries conducted at church indicate that he never arrived for the service.

"At this stage, it is unknown in which direction Fitt may have walked."

Missing Westering man had no personal belongings 

Col Naidu said that Fitt did not take any personal belongings with him.

"He was wearing a green jacket, green shirt, charcoal coloured pants and a cap on his head."
