Willowvale police arrested two men, aged 26 and 30 years old, for the alleged murder of an unknown man.

"It is alleged that the deceased, who is still unknown had a misunderstanding with two suspects," said police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha.

"The three were all passengers in a taxi at Ngqaqeni Location, Nakazana Village, Willowvale, on Tuesday 2 November 2017, at about 17:30."

He said that the two suspects stabbed the deceased with knives and he jumped out of the taxi.

"The deceased died at the scene and the two suspects also alighted from the taxi and disappeared.

"The community assisted the police with identification of the suspects," Captain Manatha added.

"Both suspects were traced and arrested. The suspects will appear before the Willowvale Magistrate Court soon."

The acting Butterworth Cluster Commander of Butterworth SAPS Cluster, Colonel Ncedo Ngwendze, thanked the community for their assistance in identifying the suspects.
