Willowvale police swiftly arrest house robbery suspect, accomplice on the run

Willowvale police arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly robbing a couple in their home on Wednesday night.

"It is alleged that a man and his girlfriend were at his home on Wednesday, at about 22h40, at New Rest Locality, Weza Village, Willowvale," said police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha.

"They heard a knock and the man went to open the door.

"Two suspects both men were armed with knives robbed him of his clothes."

Willowvale police arrest one suspect, still looking for accomplice

Capt Manatha said that the victim ran out to look for assistance.

"When he came back, the suspects had gone. The girlfriend was not injured," he described.

"The suspect was swiftly arrested and he has been charged with house robbery. We are still looking for the second suspect."

Capt Manatha said that the arrested suspect will appear before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court soon facing charge of house robbery.
