Woman arrested in PE after huge drug bust expected in court
An alleged female drug dealer is expected in court on Monday after she was arrested on Sunday in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth.
The 31-year-old woman was arrested after police received a tip-off that she was peddling drugs at her home.
“At 00:45 members of SAPS Flying Squad received information about drugs being sold at a home in Penxe Street, New Brighton.
“On searching the house, a bag of almost a kilogram of dagga, 10 bompies of dagga, 24 mandrax tablets, 185 Tik lollies and almost 4 000 medical vials were found and confiscated,” police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, explained.
She faces a charge of dealing in drugs when she appears before the New Brighton Magistrate’s Court.
