Woman busted in Grahamstown with dagga worth R168 000, client list also seized

A 44-year-old woman is expected in court after she was busted by police in Grahamstown in possession of daga worth R168 000 on Thursday night.

"The Grahamstown Highway patrol stopped a white Quantum that was travelling from Umtata to George on N2 near Correctional Services," described police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender.

"During a search operation, they found a travelling bag containing dagga worth R168 000."

She added that it was then that the 44-year-old woman was arrested for possession of dagga.

"When the suspect was searched at the station a plastic containing dagga seeds was also discovered together with the name list of people, who placed dagga orders," Capt Govender said.

"The suspect will appear in the Grahamstown Magistrate's Court soon."
