Omotoso, Lusanda Solani and Zukiswa Sitho, are facing 97 charges in total, 63 of those charges constitute the main charge sheet while 34 are alternative charges. The charges include racketeering activities, sexual assault and rape.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, "It is alleged that at about 10:00, on Tuesday morning, two off-duty policewomen were removed from the High Court in Port Elizabeth after being questioned by the investigating officer in the Omotoso case".
She said that according to information received, the two Constables arrived at court earlier, produced their appointment certificates and informed the court security that they were there as ‘protocol observers.’
