Youngster Sinethemba Qeshile makes his mark at Warriors cricket team

Port Elizabeth - The Warriors cricket team has had an incredible 2018/19 season.

"Testament to this, special mention goes out to Warriors stand-out performer Sinethemba Qeshile," said Odwa Bata – Media Intern at Eastern Province Cricket.

"The 20-year-old burst onto the scene as a rookie, and his superb performance with the bat on the pitch, earned him a well-deserved accolade at the Eastern Cape Sport & Recreation Achievers Awards for Newcomer of The Year."

Bata said that Sinethemba Qeshile’s season did not end with just representation for the Warriors.

"The newcomer earned himself a call up to the Proteas alongside Anrich Nortje, Lutho Sipamla and Gihahn Cloete."

He added that it has truly been a remarkable feat, and the young man has proven himself on the international stage.

"We commend our prized young-gun, Sine Qeshile, on being drafted into the MZANSI SUPER LEAGUE for 2019," Bata described.

"We take off our hat to you Sine - may you continue to soar.

"Special mention must also go out to Anrich Nortje, Eddie Moore and Matthew Breetzke who are participating in the South African ‘A’ Tour in India. Nortje is currently with the Proteas for the Twenty20 international."

He said that the Warriors team will celebrate all its star performers at this year’s awards evening, hosted at The Boardwalk Convention Centre tonight at 6:30pm.
