Zwelitsha woman went to assist friend and returned to find her child missing

Zwelitsha - Zwelitsha police, outside King Williams Town, are requesting the assistance of the public in finding a 13-year-old boy, Bubele Myokwana, who went missing from his home over the weekend.

"It is alleged that the child was left alone in his home at Zone 8, Zwelitsha, on Saturday, by his mother," said police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

"The mother went out to assist her friend that had a motor vehicle breakdown in the area.

"When she came back, the 13-year-old was missing."

Capt Mawisa said that he was last seen wearing pyjamas (a red bottom and navy top).

"The incident was reported to the police on Sunday and a preliminary investigation was done with no success," she added.

"The massive search will continue on Monday with Search and Rescue Unit members."

Anyone who can shed light on his disappearance can contact Detective Constable Vuyokazi Bayi of Zwelitsha SAPS on 040 655 1925 or 0785905935.
