Body in wetsuit washes up on beach

Detectives from the Humewood police in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape on Wednesday asked the community for help in locating the next of kin of a man whose body washed up on a beach at Cape Recife on Tuesday.

Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, police spokesperson, says the body of the unidentified man was found behind the shooting range on the beach around 17:20. The man was dressed in a diving suit.

“A judicial inquest is being conducted. However, a post-mortem investigation still needs to be done to determine the cause of the man’s death,” says Janse van Rensburg.
