The Gauteng MEC for education is currently on his way to Garsfontein High School in Pretoria East after a body, believed to be that of a gr. 10 learner, was found on the school’s rugby field on Tuesday morning.
“According to the information available to us, the grave wound was made by the school’s security staff, who found the body on the rugby field. The body is like that of a gr. 10 girl from the school,” said Matome Chiloane, MEC for education in Gauteng.
According to the MEC, the police and the deceased’s family members are already at the school.
However, it is still unclear how and when the body of the girl ended up on the school grounds.
“We express our deepest condolences to the family and the school community,” said Chiloane.
