Springbok supporters can soon move back in front of the television for the second version of the Chasing the Sun-series.

The documentary series – consisting of five action-packed parts – takes viewers behind the scenes as the Springboks throw everything into the battle to successfully defend the Webb Ellis Trophy in France.

Siya Kolisi’s team finally ended a remarkable tournament with its third one-point win in a row when it beat the All Blacks 12-11 in the final at the Stade de France.

“South Africans motivated us during the World Cup tournament and we definitely played for them,” said Rassie Erasmus.

According to the World Cup winning coach, the Chasing the Sun-series a way to thank the team’s supporters.

“We can’t wait to give South Africans further insight into our journey to defend the title.”

According to Rendani Ramovha, SuperSport’s CEO, the Springboks have taught ordinary South Africans to believe in themselves and that greater heights are within your reach.

Chasing the Sun 2 takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that culminates in one of the team’s biggest victories against its biggest opponent – the All Blacks – Ramovha said.

Chasing the Sun 2 will be broadcast on 24 March on DStv’s channel 101 and 201.
