A British couple who disappeared more than a week ago on a farm in the Mooi River area in KwaZulu-Natal are still missing.
According to col. Robert Netshiunda, police spokesperson, the police are still looking for Gillian Kathleen Dinnis (78) and her husband, Anthony John (74).
There are still no clues as to the couple’s whereabouts and they have not yet made contact with any family members.
RNews earlier reported that the farm owner, who lives next to the couple on the farm, could not get hold of them at all last Sunday. The owner went looking for the couple again on Tuesday, but they were still on the loose.
The owner approached a local security company and they called the police. On Tuesday, with the permission of the home owner, the police broke open the couple’s home.
“The couple were not in the house and the police did not notice anything out of the ordinary at the house. There were no signs of a struggle or forced entry into the house,” a reliable source confirmed to RNews.
The couple’s vehicle was still in the garage and their dogs were locked in the house. Gillian’s walking frame, with which she walks, was also still in the house.
According to the source involved in the case, three months ago a farm attack was reported on this very farm.
