The business community of Bronkhorstspruit in Gauteng was shaken by the murder of Susan van Rensburg, owner of a pawnshop in the town.
It is understood to be the third business robbery in the town within two weeks.
BHS‑security on Bronkhorstspruit says Van Rensburg was attacked by an unknown number of armed robbers in her shop, Van’s Pawnshop, in Erasmus on Tuesday. She was shot in the head during the robbery.
“At this stage it appears that a few laptops have been looted,” BHS security confirmed to RNews.
BHS security also expressed its condolences to Van Rensburg’s family.
“We hope that justice will soon prevail.”
Residents paid tribute to Van Rensburg on social media. Among other things, she was described as someone with a great love for the business community.
RNews has made an inquiry to the police and is still waiting for a response.
