Bulls must stop flying Frenchmen

Henry

The Bulls will throw everything into the battle at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday to stop the flying Frenchmen from Bordeaux in their tracks.

The French club are currently unbeaten in the Champions Cup and they occupy first place in Group 1’s standings.

Jake White made a few changes to the team that played the Bristol Bears away from home last weekend.

Springbok Willie le Roux is back at full-back while the Pretorians’ Puma acquisition, Devon Williams, moves to the left wing.

Stedman Gans is David Kriel’s centre-mate this week, with Johan Goosen and Embrose Papier again the link pair.

The impressive Cameron Hanekom forms a formidable loose trio with Mpilo Gumede and captain Marcell Coetzee.

Then Ruan Nortjé and Reinhardt Ludwig will rank highest when Jan-Hendrik Wessels leads the lines.

In the front row, Mornay Smith replaces the injured Wilco Louw.

The home team will especially need to know their story on defense: Bordeaux are scoring tries left and right these days and they are delivering one bonus point performance after another.

The match starts at 15:00 and the action is broadcast live on SuperSport.
