Red and black were apparently the color of the night during the 75th Emmy Awards which took place on Monday night in Los Angeles in the USA.

Celebrities like Katherine Heigl, Sarah Snook, Juliette Lewis and Meghann Fahy from The White Lotus beamed in stylish red creations.

Heigl, known for her role in Grey’s Anatomy, wore a bright red Reem Acra dress with a Marilyn Monroe-esque bob hairstyle.

Camila Morrone, who was nominated for her role in Daisy Jones and the Sixproved that simplicity remains striking in her close-fitting Versace creation.

The actress and model needed no flashy jewelery to turn heads, wearing her long, dark locks loose.

There was also no shortage of black numbers.

The Crown ‘s Elizabeth Debicki, Selena Gomez, Kourtney Kardashian, Christina Ricci, as well as Riley Keough and her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, all flaunted this color.

Keough is also one of many celebrities who have chosen hair bows as an accessory for this year’s awards season.

However, actresses such as Jessica Chastain and Claire Danes stood out in bright, cheerful colors with Chastain in a shiny lime green number with a low neckline and Danes in a chic baby pink dress.

Quirky creations that turned heads include The Bear-star Ayo Edebiri’s custom-made, black Louis Vuitton leather dress, as well as the The White Lotus-actress Simona Tabasco’s decoupage-inspired outfit from designer Marni.

Hollywood legend Joan Collins, Barbie-actress Issae Rae and Ted Lasso ‘s Hannah Waddingham also proved that shiny beads still have a place on the red carpet.

Collins looked particularly stylish in a baby blue creation by Jenny Packham – one of Princess Catherine of Wales’ favorite designers.

The men did not disappoint either.

Actors such as Anthony Anderson, this year’s Emmys presenter, and Donald Glover chose evening suits with embroidered detail for the evening.

Celebrities such as Jeremy Allen White, Jon Ham and James Marsden decided on classic styles for the occasion.
