Come along on the Super Sockie boat trip 2024!

The Super Sokkie boat trip 2024 is poised to be the biggest yet, with a brand new, bigger ship hosting the boat trip and a list of fearless African artists.

The boat trip is a highlight on thousands of travelers’ calendars every year and will take place from 8 to 11 March 2024 on the brand new MSC Splendida presented. “We swam, ate and had a good time with old friends and new friends made on the ship. It was absolutely a three-day festival.” This is how Annelize Brits writes about her experience on 2023’s Super Sokkie boat trip.

Kurt Darren, Juanita du Plessis, Early B and Justin Vega, Jay and Lianie May, Nicholis Louw, Jakkie Louw, Dirk van der Westhuizen, Samantha Leonard and Ray Dylan invite all Afrikaans music lovers to join them on the MSC Splendida to hoe and visit.

Not only is RNews also going together this time, but MSC Cruises and Super Events are also giving two up-and-coming African artists the opportunity to go together. The two artists are the pop singer AnzĂ©lle and the musician and songwriter JD Mars. They were also voted by RNnews’s readers as their choice to take this boat trip with.

Upbeat Afrikaans music will not only reverberate from the deck to the lounge to the restaurants and theater of the ship, but also on the white sea sands of the Portuguese Island.

“We are going to take over the ship with Afrikaans music,” says Kurt Darren, owner of Super Events who is involved in the organization of the boat trip. “The people, the atmosphere, the fast dancing, the loose dancing, the singing together and the togetherness make the Super Sokkie boat trip definitely worth it. There is room for thousands of Afrikaans music lovers, let’s fill it up,” says Kurt.

RNews will also provide great fun on the deck and beach. Among other things, there will be a few surprises with pop-up shows in the various venues.

Bring your family, friends and just about everyone you know. Let’s fill the boat with Super Sokkie guests!
