This year there are two female farmers who are part of the top ten farmers who will be looking for love in the 16th season of the kykNET matchmaking series Farmer looking for a wife.
The top ten farmers were announced on kykNET on Sunday evening. Potential matches can now write to these farmers.
Lulani (40), a cattle and sheep farmer, is looking for a female match, while game and cattle farmer Sanel (39) from Dwaalboom is looking for a male match.
All the farmers participating this year are between 23 and 40 years old. The farmers also represent seven of the nine provinces this year.
Marciel Hopkins is going for a fourth time Farmer looking for a wife present, and the series will be broadcast on kykNET from July 2024.
Viewers will then be able to follow the farmers’ love journey and parent custom will focus the series, which consists of 13 episodes, on the five farmers who received the most letters.
Those who want to write a letter to one of the top ten farmers must be over 21 and unmarried, divorced or a widow/widower. Entries must be submitted before midnight on 30 November.

Digital entries, which can also be accompanied by a video, are welcome. Prospective matchmakers will also be able to send letters or parcels by courier to the farmers to one of these two addresses:

The closing date for letters is midnight on 30 November 2023.
