Etzebeth back in Sharks fifteen

The struggling Sharks received a welcome injection of Springbok momentum with the return of players such as Eben Etzebeth, Ox Nche and Grant Williams.

Etzebeth is together with Jaden Hendrikse and Makazole Mapimpi in the Durbanites’ starting team against the Dragons at Kingspark, while Ox Nche and Grant Williams are on the substitutes’ bench.

The Sharks failed to win any of their first four United Rugby Championship matches and currently enjoy wooden spoon status in the official standings.

However, Dave Williams, attack coach, is keeping his fingers crossed that the return of the team’s Springboks will ensure a positive result.

“The return of the World Cup winners means that the group’s energy levels are definitely rising. Their confidence is contagious and everyone is excited about Saturday’s game.”

Bearded players such as Bongi Mbonambi, Francois Hougaard and Vincent Tshituka are still on the crutches list and are not considered for the match.

The action starts at 19:05 on Saturday and the showdown will be broadcast live on SuperSport.
