Armand Aucamp will try to keep the peace

Armand Aucamp, who not only works in front of the cameras as an actor and presenter, but also writes cookbooks and is responsible for the dating app Koer, will lead the conversation and act as presenter of the reunion.

“Being asked to host was an enormous privilege. Viewers can look forward to a perfect ending to a controversial but very popular series. There are heated moments, plenty of humor, but also compassion and reconciliation; a deeper understanding of who and what we are. It just shows again that we have to deal with each other with softer hearts.”

The reunion was filmed in the heart of the winelands

The reunion episode was filmed at Haute Cabrière in Franschhoek. Haute Cabrière is home to Pierre Jourdan, one of South Africa’s leading Méthode Cap Classique sparkling wines, and is named after the French Huguenot who established the farm in 1694.

According to the production team, this wine farm was the perfect choice for these special episodes as the wine lands themselves played such a big role in the splendor of the series.

Cute, yet stylish

The styling of the program naturally adds to the glamour.

“We decided we wanted a wintery, but stylish, look,” says Efraine du Toit, head of the styling and make-up team.

“It was important that the women felt comfortable. We really tried to give everyone what they would feel the best and most glamorous in. I believe we managed it well.”

One housewife was unable to attend filming of the reunion episodes

Karen unfortunately couldn’t attend the reunion episodes as she broke her collarbone a week before the filming and moreover only got out of the hospital a day before the filming.

However, viewers can still look forward to hearing her side of things thanks to a film crew filming at her home for the reunion.

What else is being talked about?

Since filming of the series came to an end, there have still been some unresolved arguments between some of the housewives that will be discussed here, including Amy’s comment towards Anita in Mauritius, Mariska and Karen’s repeated exchanges, as well as Candice’s feeling about Michelle’s “moods”.

Michelle speaks candidly about the alleged split in the group and Mariska explains her comments on Michelle’s podcast series.
