The Extreme Festival is on display in all its glory at the East London Grand Prix racecourse this weekend. There are once again six classes of racing cars and motorcycles that practice on Thursday and Friday, qualify on Saturday morning and race two rounds immediately afterwards.
The East London Grand Prix Circuit is a big one on the South African motorsport calendar. It is one of the oldest racetracks in the country and also the fastest with two turns that will strain even the toughest of nerves. The six journalists in their GR-86 racing cars should see speeds in excess of 200 km/h through Potters Pass and Rifle, before they will have to use every bit of braking power at Copacabana.
