‘General Hospital’ actor dies in robbery

Johnny Wactor, known for his role in the hospital drama General Hospitalwas shot dead on Saturday in a robbery that was suspected to have gone awry.

He was 37 years old.

The Los Angeles Police Service came upon a scene in the early hours of Saturday morning where a man had suffered a gunshot wound. He was later identified as Wactor.

ABC7 reported that Wactor was shot after he confronted three men who were believed to be attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle.

He was later taken to a hospital, where he died.

The suspects fled the scene and have not yet been arrested.

“Johnny Wactor was an extraordinary actor and friend,” said Sarabeth Schedeen, Wactor’s representative The Hollywood Reporter said.

“The world’s light has dimmed today. Among his many enviable gifts were voluntarism, dedication, discipline, empathy and perseverance that were unsurpassed.”

Wactor appeared in 164 episodes of General Hospital from 2020 to 2022.

He was born in Charleston, in the American state of South Carolina, and made his television debut in 2007 in the drama series Army Wives made.

He also appeared in productions such as Siberia, Westworld, Hollywood Girl, The Passenger, The OA, Station 19, Training Day, Criminal Minds and NCIS appear.
