Freaky Friday-follow up on the way

Almost 21 years after Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis starred in the popular teen movie, Freaky Fridayplayed, these two actresses return to pick up the storyline again.

The 37-year-old Lohan, who is also now the mother of a baby boy, earlier this week Peoplemagazine confirms that a sequel film is on the way. Although she is “excited” to work with Jamie again, she could not yet reveal when the movie will be shot. It is also not yet known whether the text for the sequel is ready yet.

“We still talk almost every day,” Lindsay confessed. “I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with this.”

Colin Firth’s Pride & Prejudice-shirt auctioned

Pride & Prejudice-fans almost lined up to buy the iconic white shirt Colin Firth wore as Mr Darcy stepped out of the water.

This shirt, which Colin wore in the 1995 series version of the Jane Austen story, was sold at an auction in London earlier this week for a whopping £25 000 (about R600 000).

It was previously estimated that the shirt would fetch around £7,000 to £10,000. The scene may have appeared on the box office almost three decades ago, but it is still considered one of the most popular TV moments today.

This shirt was part of a collection of about 60 costumes worn in movies and series over the years. Outfits worn by Madonna, Johnny Depp, Drew Barrymore and Margot Robbie among others were also offered for sale during the auction.

The auctioned items include, among others, Madonna’s Christian Dior outfit which she Evita wore, Drew Barrymore’s evening dress off Ever After: A Cinderella Story and Heath Ledger’s prom outfit from the 2005 movie, Casanova.

New Kids on the Block back after 11 years

The popular male group, New Kids on the Block, will release an album after 11 years of silence.

This 14-track album, Still Kids, was confirmed by the band earlier this week and will hit the shelves on May 17 this year. It will be Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood’s eighth full-length album and a follow-up to their 2013 album, 10.

“It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made,” said Danny, who also served as the project’s creative director.

“Still, it’s the most fun and comfortable album we’ve ever made. This album, more than others, will make the New Kids fans experience a full-circle moment. It’s about hope and opportunity and being ourselves.”

Not done yet The Big Bang Theory not

Young Sheldonthe series that originated from the popular comedy series, The Big Bang Theory, was created, will soon come to an end. However, this will not be a final farewell for some of this series’ stars.

Emily Osment and Montana Jordan will soon take up the reins of their characters, Mandy and Georgie, for a series modeled on their family. As with the previous two series, Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland are creatively managing the project.

Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, who play the roles of Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler, respectively The Big Bang Theory starred, will make an appearance in the final episode of Young Sheldon make.

The last episode of Young Sheldon ‘s seven seasons will air in May this year.
