Joe and Sophie go their separate ways
After four years and two children together, Joe Jonas (34) and Sophie Turner (27) go from Game of Thrones-fame parted ways.
Allegations of this divorce came to light earlier this week, and were confirmed by Joe who filed for divorce in Miami, Florida on Tuesday.
The estranged couple said in a joint statement that they are handling the divorce with respect.
“After four years of a wonderful marriage, we have jointly decided to end our marriage amicably,” reads the statement that Sophie shared on Instagram.
“There is a lot of speculation as to why, but it really is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone will respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
The couple was particularly known for their privacy about their marriage and children. They were married in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas in 2019, and a month later held a party in France for friends and family.
Their first daughter, Willa, was born in 2020, and their second last year. They have always been very strict about their children’s privacy, and so far have not allowed paparazzi to take sneaky pictures of the shoots. They also did not reveal the exact birth dates of their little girls, or even their second’s name.
Social media users are buzzing about the breakdown of Sophie and Joe’s marriage, especially as claims have come to light that Sophie likes to party too much, and that the children are currently in Joe’s care. Joe, who is currently on tour with his younger brothers, is also often seen with his wedding ring on his finger.
Steal photos of Joe with his daughters also set tongues wagging, as they were previously so strict about these photos.
Jimmy Fallon accused of “toxic behavior”.
Jimmy Fallon and Ellen DeGeneres might be in the same boat right now.
In a sensational report published earlier this week by the Rolling Stone-magazine is published, Jimmy becomes presenter of The Late Showaccused of creating a toxic work environment.
No less than 16 current and former employees of The Late Show came forward in this report to say that they have been unhappy with Jimmy’s behavior for some time now. It is alleged that Jimmy often made passive-aggressive comments about people’s work, had outbursts and acted unpredictably.

The employees also claimed that they often go to the guest changing rooms The Late Show referred to as the “crying rooms”, as tears were often shed on set due to Jimmy’s behaviour. They also argue that Jimmy often shows up to work drunk, exacerbating his unpredictability and outbursts.
In a Zoom conversation that took place on Thursday 7 September between Jimmy and his current employees, Jimmy said sorry for his contribution to the toxic environment.
“It’s humiliating and I feel so bad about it. I’m sorry if I humiliated you, your family and friends through this,” Jimmy said during the meeting.
“I want this program to be fun, and for it to be inclusive for everyone.”
Jimmy is not the first presenter to be accused of toxic behaviour. Similar allegations surfaced in 2020 about Ellen DeGeneres, whose talk show had already been on the air for about 17 years at the time. The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended soon after, though Ellen said at the time that it wasn’t because of the allegations.
Jimmy did in 2014 The Late Show took over the reins from Jay Leno and last week announced a new podcast series with other late-night presenters.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker undergoes emergency surgery
The reality star and glamorous personality, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, had to undergo emergency fetal surgery to save her unborn baby’s life.
Travis Barker, Kourtney’s husband, hastily left Blink 182’s tour, of which he is the drummer, due to a “family emergency” earlier this month. Kourtney announced earlier this week that this emergency was in fact an emergency operation.
“I will forever be grateful to the doctors who saved our baby’s life,” writes the 44-year-old TV star on Instagram.
“I am also grateful to my husband who left his tour to be with me, and my mother who held my hand through this.”
Kourtney admits that her previous three pregnancies went smoothly, and that this experience gave her a new perspective on motherhood.
“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through such a situation can begin to understand that fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mothers who had to fight for their babies during pregnancy.”
“Praise the Lord. I walk out of the hospital with my baby boy still in my womb and safe – the greatest blessing.”
Barbie voted biggest movie of the year
Barbiewhich was released in cinemas worldwide in July this year, is breaking one record after another.

Not only did Barbie not only enjoyed the biggest opening weekend of the year, but it also quickly became the biggest opening for a female director. Warner Bros. also disclosed that Barbie their biggest release yet.
This movie has grossed $1.3 billion (about R25 billion) worldwide, and is now considered the biggest movie of the year.
