Robert De Niro’s grandson dies

Leandro De Niro-Rodriguez, an actor and the grandson of Hollywood legend Robert De Niro, died on July 2 at the age of 19.

Drena De Niro, De Niro-Rodriguez’s mother, confirmed news of his death on Monday.

She later responded to an Instagram user who asked about her son’s death in the comments section of an Instagram post, saying that someone had sold him pills that contained fentanyl. This powerful and addictive ingredient is often added to heroin.

De Niro-Rodriguez appeared with his mother in the 2018 film, A Star Is Born.

His famous grandfather told NBC News in a statement that he was “deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved grandson.”

The Weeknd’s new TV show branded a flop

Sam Levinson, creator of the drama series Euphoria,’s latest television show, The Idolwas described by critics as one of the worst series of the year.

The Idol is about a fictional pop singer, Jocelyn (played by Lily-Rose Depp, Johnny Depp’s daughter), who decides to take ownership of her struggling career and begins a complex relationship with Tedros (played by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye), a self-help guru and the head of a contemporary cult.

The Telegraph declared it “certainly the worst TV show of the year”, while The Guardian described certain scenes as “torturous pornography”.

Critics particularly slammed the series’ violent sex scenes and alleged sexism.

That series was further plunged into controversy after several production members came forward and made allegations that Levinson’s behavior, especially towards intimate scenes, was awkward and inappropriate.

Despite these allegations, Depp said that she had “never felt safer on a set”.

Margot’s Barbie fever runs high in front of and behind the scenes

It would seem that Margot Robbie really is a “Barbie girl, living in a Barbie world”.

The Australian actress, who is in this popular doll’s pink, plastic shoes in the upcoming Barbie-film Klim, lived her character on the red carpet during the film’s international media tour.

Robbie’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal, shared on Instagram that he created several outfits for this tour in which he exactly replicated some of the Barbie doll’s iconic packages.

During one media visit, Robbie posed in a black and white striped Herve Leger dress, which looks similar to a 1959 Barbie beach suit. At the movie’s preview in Seoul, she wore two different pink ensembles made famous by 1985’s “Day to Night Barbie.”

Robbie’s polka dot Valentino dress, which she wore at a media event in Beverly Hills in the USA, was a tribute to the “Pink and Fabulous” Barbie doll of 2015.

Barbie fever is also running high worldwide, with numerous clothing stores and brands launching Barbie clothes and accessories for both children and adults.

Barbie will be shown at cinemas in South Africa from 21.
