The police in Limpopo launched a manhunt after a group of suspects descended on a farm early Wednesday morning and looted items worth more than R100 000.
According to Brig. Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said the suspects entered the farm while the 30-year-old victim was asleep.
“The suspects threatened the victim with a knife and a screwdriver while demanding money and firearms from him.
“They ransacked the house almost empty and robbed items such as television sets, clothes, mobile phones, laptops, fridges and cash. After that they fled the scene,” says Mashaba.
“The police were called to the scene just after 04:00, after which a case of robbery was filed. All the stolen items are said to be worth approximately R147 650.”
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is requested to contact the investigating officer, Sgt. Tshifhiwa Netshia, on 066 263 4915.
