The police inquest into the building tragedy in George continues.

It was exactly one month on Thursday since the apartment building in Victoria Street collapsed on 6 May. The operation lasted a total of 260 hours, with staff working 24 hours a day – in two shifts.

Ultimately, 34 people died in the disaster.

Sgt. Chris Spies, police spokesperson, told RNews that the police’s investigation at the scene has been completed.

However, the inquest continues and one more body still needs to be identified.
