King Charles is recovering after surgery

Britain’s King Charles III spent his second day in a private clinic in London on Saturday after undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate on Friday.

The 75-year-old king is apparently doing well after his operation.

His wife, Queen Camilla, has stopped by the London Clinic several times over the weekend.

It is not known how long the monarch will have to recuperate in hospital. British media reports suggest that he may have to spend the entire weekend in hospital.

Charles’ daughter-in-law Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is also currently recovering in the London Clinic after she had to undergo a planned abdominal operation on 16 January.

Meanwhile, the British royal family is stretched thin.

It is expected that the king’s sister, Princess Anne, as well as his brother Prince Edward, and his wife, Sophie, will probably take over more royal duties in the next few months.
