Kiwi Canadian beauty Miss. New Zealand crowned


The South African beauty Sammi Poole was this week as Miss. New Zealand crowned.

“What an incredible evening,” she writes on social media. “I am so grateful for the messages and kind words, thank you for the support! It still feels unreal, but everyone on that stage worked so hard to be there.

“I am more than proud of what we have achieved in the last five months. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

This South African blonde has been living in New Zealand for the past few years, during which she also worked as a model. She obtained a degree in design at the Auckland University of Technology in December 2023.

According to her Facebook profile, she is originally from Pretoria.

If Miss New Zealand finalist, she donated more than NS$43 000 (nearly R480 000) to I am Hope, a non-profit organization. The organization strives to shine a light on mental health among the youth in New Zealand.

Rovelyn Milford was crowned the runner-up, while Sharlene Sharma took third place.
