Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner’s centuries saw Australia post 392/8 in their allotted 50 overs against South Africa in Bloemfontein.

The two batsmen enjoyed a partnership of 151 runs for the third wicket before Warner was removed for 106 runs.

Labuschagne, who was not included in the Aussies’ World Cup squad, once again stuck out his tongue for the selectors with his impressive innings of 124 runs.

He hit 20 boundaries and was equally at ease against the speed of Anrich Nortjé and the spin bowling of Tabraiz Shamsi.

This is Australia’s third highest score in the country’s one-day cricket history, while it is the fourth most runs that South Africa has conceded in either format of the game.

Yes-no, Quinton de Kock, Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller will now have to pull up their socks: Temba Bavuma will not be able to chase this winning target on his own.
