Marquez will soon be racing for Ducati

Six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez of Spain will join the Ducati factory team in 2025.

He will then be the teammate of the current world champion Francesco Bagnaia of Italy and take the place of Enea Bastianini, also an Italian.

The announcement was confirmed by Ducati on Wednesday. Marquez also shared the news on his social media platforms.

Marquez, who raced for Honda for many years, joined Gresini – Ducati’s satellite team – in 2024.

Marquez has been crowned world champion six times, but has not won another race since October 2021. This is attributed, among other things, to injuries he sustained during a major accident, but also due to the impaired performance of Honda’s motorcycles.

Marquez currently lies third in this year’s championship.
