Murder of businessman: Another suspect wanted

A warrant has been issued by the Magistrate’s Court in Mossel Bay for the arrest of a Zimbabwean citizen in connection with the murder of Hartenbos businessman Desmond Share.

The police are looking for Danzel Talent Alkuleti, also known as Akwiriano, for his alleged involvement in Share’s disappearance earlier this year. Warrants have also been issued earlier for the arrest of Shown Gondo (31) and Akim Gondo (25).

According to Sgt. Christopher Spies, police spokesman, is still looking for the three suspects. Meanwhile, Shadreck Mhetu (30), who is currently charged with murdering Share, will apply for bail in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court today. He is facing charges of murder and kidnapping.

“The investigation into this case is at an advanced stage,” said Spies.

52-year-old Share’s mutilated body was found in bushes near Albertinia on 5 August. According to information, Share went missing after apparently traveling to Herbertsdale – about 50 km from Mossel Bay – for work.

His bakkie was last spotted on CCTV cameras the week before at the BP filling station on Buffeljags River – several kilometers from where his body was found. Information led the Da Gamaskop police to a remote area between Herbertsdale and Albertinia – near the petrol station where Share’s vehicle was spotted earlier. His bakkie was found on August 8 at Ficksburg near the Lesotho border.

Anyone with information on the possible whereabouts of the three suspects is requested to contact the Da Gamaskop detective service on 044 606 2213 or 061 317 2239.
