A day after couples worldwide celebrated love, On my Eish! ‘s favorite couple shared the news that they are now parting ways.
The actor Francois Jacobs and his (now ex-) girlfriend, Nykie Pretorius, shared this sad news on social media on Thursday.
“After an incredible adventure of two years, we decided together that it is better that we should tackle things separately for the time being,” reads the post on Instagram. “We sincerely love each other and will sincerely preserve the friendship we have found in each other.”
According to the post, the spotlight put a lot of pressure on the relationship, and the two also found themselves at a crossroads.
“We would really appreciate it if our privacy could be respected for the time being. Our adventure is not over… But for now it is, see you later.”

Not only did Nykie, a Pretorianer, move in with Francois in his home in Melville, Johannesburg, but the couple were often seen together on stage at festivals and other events as masters of ceremonies and presenters.
Francois told RNews in June last year that it was love at first sight for him when he met Nykie on the set of On my Eish! see. The two were still busy setting up a studio at their home last year where they would produce content together.
