The police are on the trail of a group of suspects who wounded and robbed the owner of a security company on Monday afternoon in Tzaneen, Limpopo.
According to col. Malesela Ledwaba, police spokesperson, stopped the owner next to the municipal building in the town when his car was surrounded by a group of armed suspects. It is unknown how many suspects were involved.
“The suspects pointed firearms at the man and demanded money. They fired shots before robbing him of an unknown amount of cash,” says Ledwaba.
“The suspects fled the scene in a white sport utility vehicle.”
The owner was injured in the process and was taken to hospital after the incident.
“The police have been informed of the incident and a case of robbery and attempted murder is being investigated.”
