Phase 4 load shedding will continue until at least Thursday afternoon after more units failed overnight.
According to Eskom, phase 4 load-shedding will continue until at least 16:00, after which the power supplier will make an announcement about which load-shedding phases will follow.
It comes after three more generating units failed overnight. Eskom also wants to supplement emergency generation reserves.
Phase 2 load shedding has been applied throughout the day in recent days, followed by phase 4 throughout the evening due to generating units failing.
