Two security guards and two members of the public were injured early Friday evening when transit robbers blew up a cash van on Stormvoël Road in Pretoria.
Emer-G-Med says paramedics from this emergency service were called to the scene at around 18:00 where they found the inflated cash van on its side upon their arrival. Two car wrecks were also found at the scene.
The exact details surrounding the incident are not known.
According to Emer-G-Med, two security officers sustained moderate injuries during the robbery. The officers were treated and stabilized at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
Two members of the public suffered minor injuries. However, they refused medical care, according to Emer-G-Med.

A source who chose to speak anonymously to RNews says that one car wreck on the scene belongs to the transit robbers and the other to the members of the public who were hurt during the incident.
According to the source, shots were also fired last night. No gunshot wounds were reported.
