Prince William made his first public appearance since his wife Catherine announced her cancer diagnosis.

William and Prince George (10) attended a football match between Aston Villa and Lille on Thursday evening.

The 41-year-old British heir to the throne and his son laughed and clapped as they cheered on their team (Aston Villa). Aston Villa won 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

William is a keen football fan and has supported Aston Villa since he was a schoolboy. He is also the president of England’s Football Association.

It is the first time he has been seen in public again after Kate (42), as she is popularly known, announced last month that she was in the early stages of chemotherapy. She spent two weeks in the London Clinic in January for what the palace described as abdominal surgery.

The Princess of Wales’ cancer news follows shortly after King Charles III, William’s father, revealed that he was receiving treatment for an unspecified cancer.

Since then, the king has been carrying out official duties behind closed doors. However, he attended an Easter service over Easter weekend.
