Ramphadi crashes in French Open semifinals

Donald Ramphadi, South Africa’s quad wheelchair tennis star, got stuck in the semi-final of the French Open against the German Sam Schröder.

This is the first time that the 30-year-old Ramphadi has made it to this round.

Schröder, the world’s second best wheelchair tennis player, won 6-1 and 6-1 after one hour and two minutes of play.

On Wednesday, Ramphadi beat David Wagner of the USA in the singles. It was an impressive fight back by the South African after losing the first set 3-6. His next sets of 6-2 and 6-1 were good enough to finally reach the quarter-finals.

However, the 30-year-old will still face Heath Davidson from Australia in the doubles.
