Rand Water has meanwhile decided to provisionally cancel the planned maintenance work that would leave thousands of Pretorians without water for 30 hours at the end of next week.
This maintenance work was supposed to take place from 05:00 on 30 July to 11:00 on 31 July and would affect numerous neighborhoods in and around Pretoria.
Leaks at the Zuikerbosch water treatment plant and faulty valves at Zuikerbosch and the Palmiet station would be repaired over these two days.
However, the City of Tshwane has now issued a notice to inform Pretorianians that Rand Water will not continue with the maintenance work for the time being.
It is not clear why.
Rand Water says it will let you know if it decides to continue with the maintenance work in the future.
