The Real Housewives of the Winelands ‘s Anita Lloyd and Candice Bester in Thursday night’s episode each tried to put the fiery blonde businesswoman, Karen Schwendtke, in her place after her behavior at Gloria Arendz’s glamorous party.

These three women, as well as Amy Kleinhans-Curd, Mariska Thorpe and Dr. Michelle van Zyl gives viewers a weekly look at their luxurious and colorful lives in the Western Cape winelands, and the latest installment has caused bubbling drama among the housewives.

In last week’s episode, they visited Gloria’s mansion in the Cape, where Karen did not initially create a good impression because she repeatedly interrupted Gloria during their conversations.

Candice, a former singer and marketing manager, told Karen at the party to give everyone in the party a spell. “You have to learn a little not to talk over everyone. I know you are strong and verbal, but sometimes you have to listen a little when we talk.”

“You’re not going to pry into my personal life and tell me what to do,” Karen retorted before becoming agitated. She also shared that she was independent from a young age and even helped raise her late brother.

The five other housewives agreed that Karen must deal with the grief from her past.

“I can see the pain in her eyes about things that should have been healed a long time ago,” said Michelle, an aesthetic doctor, about Karen’s explosion.

“The five of us are not going to be able to solve these problems that Karen has. Karen’s problems are bigger and deeper than our five housewives,” added Anita, whose husband will soon retire as CEO of the Ko-operatieve Wijnbouwers Vereniging van Zuid-Afrika (KWV).

Candice, who is currently in the process of opening a restaurant with her husband, then decided to invite the other housewives and taste potential dishes for their menu.

Here it came to light that Gloria sent Amy a voice message in which she says that Karen apologized for her behavior after her party.

Karen strongly denied it and was also pissed that Amy and Candice talked about it in front of the other housewives.

“In my opinion, I feel that it should not have been handled that way. The person who Amy’s first point of contact about the message should be, is Karen. Not Candice, Karen and then in front of the whole table of people,” agreed Michelle.

Karen also quickly started nibbling on Candice, Amy and Anita.

“Candice, you are a real wildcat and you pretend to be so angry. Amy, you pretend to be everyone’s buddy is, you are such a part of everyone’s life.”

She also described Mariska, a former wealth manager and fitness model, as a “fox”.

“Karen and Anita look down on people and if you are not into them cliques are not, they do not accept you, and treat you as their inferiors. I just want to say the only one cliques what they’re in is the Clicks in Paarl Mall,” retorted Mariska jokingly.

Anita also stuck a stick in front of Karen for reasons.

“Then she realized this kite don’t go fly not. She then did not say what she actually wanted to say to me at the table. She achieved nothing by it except to make herself look bad, and that’s a shame.

“For you, Poplap, I am right. I see you have a little pig in your heart.”

During the episode, Karen called on a clairvoyant, who also encouraged her to seek the path to healing.

“I’ve seen psychologists, but I realize what I need to work on is applying self-love. I can be very hard on myself sometimes. I realize that I have to learn to work through things that I store deep away,” Karen said of her experience.

At the end of the episode, the women also agreed to embark on an island holiday in Mauritius together.

“I’m going to have to pack a pill for sure. A calming pill, a sleeping pill, a nausea pill. I will go with my whole bag of pills,” said Michelle about this planned holiday.

“My suspicion is that interesting things are going to come out here,” added Karen.
