The Yokohama Canon Eagles have confirmed that Rohan Janse van Rensburg will henceforth play his rugby in Japan.

The Springbok center has been playing for the Sharks in Durban for the past season or two after previously playing as a striker for the Sale Sharks in England.

However, he immediately packs his bags for Japan.

“I am very excited to become part of the Yokohama Canon Eagles setup and it is a privilege for me to represent the club and its supporters,” said Janse van Rensburg.

According to the former student of Hoƫrskool Waterkloof, he was persuaded to be at his best again in Japan.

After all, in the colors of Sale, he scored 23 tries in his 73 club matches, but things didn’t quite go according to plan in Durban and he only played in a few matches.

“I’m ready to assist the Canon Eagles in any way possible and I can’t wait to show everyone what I’m capable of.”

The Japanese club, which currently occupies fourth place in the Rugby League One standings, already boasts players such as Faf de Klerk and Jesse Kriel in its ranks.
