Rupert Murdoch marries a fifth time

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has just married for the fifth time at the age of 93.

Murdoch and Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist, were married on the elderly tycoon’s luxurious Bel Air wine estate in California in the USA.

Zhukova is 67 years old and therefore more than a quarter of a century younger than Murdoch.

Photos published in the British tabloid The Sunowned by Murdoch, shows the couple smiling and posing – Murdoch in a black suit with a yellow tie and Zhukova in a white off-the-shoulder dress with a bunch of lilies of the valley in her hand.

Guests at the wedding include Robert Kraft (82), owner of the New England Patriots football team, and his 50-year-old wife, Dana Blumberg.

Murdoch had been married four times before, most recently to model Jerry Hall, who was also long-time partner of rocker Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones.

His personal life is often exposed in the tabloids he has set up on three continents.

Last year, Murdoch announced his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith, the former police chaplain in San Francisco and widow of American country singer Chester Smith.

However, the engagement was ended a month later.

Zhukova emigrated from Russia to the US. Her daughter, Dasha Zhukova, is an arts patron and was previously married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Murdoch has six children and was first married to Patricia Booker, an Australian flight attendant, from whom he was divorced in the late sixties.

He and his second wife, newspaper reporter Anna Torv, were together for more than 30 years before divorcing in 1999. His third marriage to Wendi Deng ended in 2013.

Australian-born Murdoch’s media empire includes The Wall Street JournalFox News and other influential news outlets, and his family has a network worth approximately $20 billion, according to Forbes.

Murdoch handed over his business empire to his son Lachlan in November last year.
